Thank you for taking the time to put that post together.I was really hoping for a small-er setup. I was considering these 6.5" speakers for $90 [a.co] or at most these 8" speakers for $160 [a.co] along with this mixer+amp-in-one for $180 [a.co]. There's a lesser-wattage mixer+amp but I like that this had an equalizer. I understand that, even with the cheaper/smaller speakers, I would already be over budget, but I felt like these would be good long-term.I don't need bluetooth. As such, would you change your recommended amp? Thanks again!
I actually have two of these Kustom PA50's, going on almost 8 years now. Work great and can chain them together. They are certainly lacking any real bass. However, good feature set with 2 x XLR inputs, 1 x 3.5mm input, line level XLR in/out for chaining together. I use a 3.5mm bluetooth adapter to fill those needs. I have used it in my backyard successfully for music and projector movies (with a powered subwoofer, adjusts crossover when 1/4" is connected). It's only 50 rms continuous, so don't expect anything with depth. Small rooms are best not open spaces.

However, if you can find a used Alto TX208 or TX308, these are very good also. You'd just want to find a cheap mixer.
