Refurbished with warranty vs New but Unknown brand with no warranty!!
To be fair, it's a rebrand of EcoFlow. It's the same, but with the Aputure logo slapped on top.
The warranty though, is still unsure. It does include EcoFlow warranty card, but who knows what is said in there.
Aputure might be new to you but as someone who has used their studio lights for over 7 years now, they are amazing. Honestly one of the best brands in cinematography. They won't do you wrong.

But we don't have any way of knowing (without Ecoflow confirming) whether refurbs are previously used/owned customer returns, or quality rejects from their production line ("factory seconds").

The big practical things are better inverter and quieter fans, but def not $700 better IMO.

How do these "credits" work? Does it simply reduced your taxable income by whatever the "credit" amount is? If so, would be sort of worthless for those who don't itemize and just take the standard deduction.
No, it's a tax credit. So it actually reduces the amount you owe in taxes. Also: "The credit is nonrefundable, so the credit amount you receive can't exceed the amount you owe in tax. You can carry forward any excess unused credit, though, and apply it to reduce the tax you owe in future years. Do not include interest paid including loan origination fees."
