Yes, only last a few months outside. Better looking for stainless steel ones for outdoor use.

In general, black plastic does better in the sun as the dye keeps the UV rays from penetrating the plastic. White anything will usually yellow in the sun as the rays penetrate and break down the plastic.

$5.99 now. Still a good price though. Apparently I bought these exact ones in 2023 and I haven't had any issues with any zip ties I have used.

I got these the last time they were on sale. Absolute, utter crap. I used about 10 of them, 3 broke as I was putting them on before they even got tight. One of them broke as I was bending it with my hand getting ready to put it on. Save yourself some frustration and get something else.

Black zip ties are generally considered the most resistant to UV breakdown. This is because carbon black is often added to the nylon material during manufacturing. Carbon black acts as a UV stabilizer, absorbing ultraviolet radiation and preventing it from degrading the polymer structure of the nylon.
White and clear zip ties, on the other hand, typically lack this added UV protection. As a result, they are more susceptible to photodegradation when exposed to sunlight for extended periods. This can lead to the zip ties becoming brittle, discolored, and losing tensile strength over time, ultimately leading to failure.
While some white or clear zip ties may be marketed as UV resistant, this usually means they have had other types of UV stabilizers added, which may not be as effective as carbon black. For applications where prolonged outdoor exposure is expected, black zip ties specifically labeled as "UV resistant" are the most reliable choice.

I have never had much success with plastic zipties doing well in the sun. The white/clear ones generally last a few months and the black ones roughly a year to a year and a half. Switched to metal, no more issues
