Bought one earlier today. Amazon and Walmart were both $209 yesterday and dropped to $199 for the black version. Target went from $209 to $299. Highly rated watch.

You didn't by chance have a vivoactive 4 did you? Absolutely love mine but I'm curious if it's worth upgrading. This is the best price I've seen.

edit: just saw they released the vivoactive 6, fingers crossed the five keeps getting cheaper, it looks really nice

I own a Vivoactive 4 that is starting to wear out. I would not consider the Vivoactive 5 since the older model has a barometric altimeter, but the newer model no longer has that feature. An altimeter is very useful for distance sports like trail running, hiking, or bicycling. Most cell phones don't have a barometer either. Garmin does still have barometers in some of their other watches in this price range and I will probably pick one of those when my Vivoactive 4 dies.

If you don't mind sharing, what models are you liking? I really like the Garmin App interface allowing you to see your own data, one reason to stay

Garmin Forerunner 165 and better. Also some of the Garmin Instinct models are moderately priced.

Wireless charging isn't a big deal when the watch gets almost 2 weeks of battery life.

I did not. My last one was a Fitbit Versa. Still learning this Vivo active but I love it so far. We got my wife the Google Pixel 2 watch less than a week ago and were shocked that one only had a 24 hour battery life. She has to charge it every day, which is ridiculous. We are returning that one now that we both have this Vivoactive 5.

I have finally convinced my wife to come over to the garmin side from apple watch. Is this a good watch for a female (in the non black version).

If not, do you all have any suggestions for under $300 garmin watches that are good entry level for females?

Thanks
