I've found other Amazon basics items to be of inferior quality as well. The 13 gallon trash bags are cut a bit smaller than other brands, thus they don't stay in place on my kitchen trash can. They were a terrible purchase.

If you need your zip storage bags to stay sealed, do NOT buy these.
I must have taken for granted the ability of Ziploc-style bags to remain sealed, because this is the first bag of this type I've experienced that will open up with the lightest pull.

I bought 4 boxes of 200 trash bags, by the time I opened them, I realized that they weren't sealed on one side. 3 out of 4 boxes... 600 bags were defective. And of course I was outside of the return window.

I've been using Amazon Basics 13gallon trash bags for over a year now. I bought them through a very slick deal. The quality has been EXCELLENT. My only regret is that I didn't order more of that deal. After waiting months for a similar deal I had to purchase them at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Just received this quart size Amazon Basics freezer bag. Filled one up 1/4 way with water , no leaks, flipped bag upside down, no leaks. Seals easily.

Should have told them anyway. Maybe they would have replaced them? They may have known there were defects?

Now, you know I'm a Slickdealer... They wound up giving me a $10 Amazon credit, which was better than nothing.

Now your account is flagged and next return they'll accuse you of scamming.

That's when you order 3 more boxes and return the defective ones in their place. Wasn't your fault.
