Pretty nice that this one has the powerload tech. I'm kicking myself for missing out a few months ago for the deal I posted for $219…

I'm honestly considering returning for this deal. Anybody have experience with these models? Looks like almost the same trimmer just with powerload

Price is not that great imo. I have the rapid load trimmer. It works great. I'd rather have that than the powerload. The powerload is gimmicky and can have issues. Doesn't take that long to wind it up manually. The trimmer has been out for quite some time and doesn't have much value.

The blower model is old as well.

Basically you're paying for decent old models. At this price point, it's hard to argue the value to be this high.

I agree about manual loading not being bad or taking too long. I think the most important thing is getting high quality string so you don't have to do it as often.

Electric tools are wild. It almost makes financial sense to buy it for the battery alone, even if you don't need the equipment itself.

Which is the better purchase? The Ace or Amazon purchase?

Got this same kit for $219 back in December and am really happy with it overall. I would definitely recommend getting good quality trimmer line once the stock runs out. I really like the echo black diamond line, it's pricey but quality wise it's hard to beat.

the 2.5 vs 4ah battery is a huge difference. The blowers will eat the battery insanely fast. If you own other ego tools this may not be a huge concern but if it's your first set the blower will absolutely not last long at higher speeds with the 2.5ah battery.

The equipment is solid. I have all Milwaukee stuff except for an ego blower. I'll say though that the 2.5 AH battery won't last long in it. You may be able to blow off a driveway but that'll be it. Certainly not trimming and blowing on the same charge. For reference, I have a 5 AH battery and it lasts barely long enough to blow off the deck, walk way and driveway.
