Can confirm these leak, they absolutely destroyed a device of mine making the battery terminals corroded and rusty. I'm going to try to clean them but not going to hold out much hope. Never again, Rayovac.

I feel like these batteries end up leaking a lot still in the package. Is that the case with most battery brands at this level these days?

Bought one. I have had good experience in general with Rayovac. The last packet I bought lasted over a year and no leaks in the package. I am down to one left, so ordered this even though the previous deal I brought at included a smaller AAA battery packet at this price (I think I purchased them from Home Depot or Walmart for around $13, but cannot remember which retailer now).

I store them at room temperature inside a drawer in the house. I advice not storing in a garage or where there is direct sunlight/heat exposure. Additionally, we never keep batteries in devices we rarely use, such as flashlights. When we need it, we go to the drawer with the batteries, pull 2 from it, put it in the flashlight and use it. Once done, we put it in a ziplock next to my battery pack to use first when I have a need for a AA battery the next time.

Yes, these do leak a lot, especially if you use them in low-draining devices for a long time.

I had 3 boxes of 48 for a couple of years (12-year power guarantee) but they all leaked and ruined probably 40% of them before I got to use them all.

I've actually never had a rayovac leak in storage. All alkaline brands will leak from time to time when stored long term in a device. In fact I've never had an alkaline leak while in storage, even the terrible sams club brand batteries or cheapo Aldi alkalines.

Definitely leakers. Bought them several times on Christmas sale from Home Depot. All packages have had leaks before the "use by" date. The wind up not being a good deal, especially if they ruin something.

Check your local Kroger, 30 packs of both AAA and AA were on clearance for $3.50 per pack. Snagged one each, probably should have been more greedy... Kids toys and all.

yeah i don't know where you guys are storing your batteries i buy whatever brand as long as its cheap and its alkaline since the testing shows they're pretty simliar in performance between the brands. Leaked left too long in a device sure, but never in my battery buddy in a drawer in my kitchen.

So glad there's a healthy community on this site that posts comments. If it was just the deal, would have bought. Reading the comments, will not buy. Right on!
