If you have a series 7 and it takes forever for you to get a clean shave, jump to the series 9. I struggled with the 7 for 10+ years and hated shaving. Got the 9 last fall and it is a game changer. Takes a fraction of the time to get a great shave, and i don't dread shaving anymore.

Are you mentioning Braun 9 or 9 Pro? What's the main difference between the two models? Can you share?

There was a comment on reviews that this replacement head is only for models pre-2020. I cannot attest to the accuracy of that comment but models listed above should answer that question.

the newest series 7 (the one with the 360 moving head) requires part 74s. this is 70s. completely different replacement heads

Deals on heads for 9? According to 3c, amazon hasn't had it for less than $50 since mid-2020.

Just the base model. There was a deal on here a few months ago directly from Braun, I believe it's the "sport" model. It does WY better on my face than the 7.

Obviously this may vary person to person, face to face. But the 9 has been a blessing for me.

Had the 7, had the 9 pro, tried Philips, tried a Pansonic, then tried a Babyliss. The Babyliss beats all of them in every way so far. I've had it for about 3 months. Closest shave ever, no fighting to shave your neck. It can't shave very long hair, but that's not really an issue if you don't let it grow out. If you do just use some clippers or whatever, then use it.

The old 7 blade i got a decade ago was a different blade design for sure. The new one was worlds of difference. Prob dont need to buy a whole new razor
