Tiffany Aching novels were Pratchett writing for "young adult" so as such they are Discworld but lighter and not quite as complex as the main line, but that said, they are still pretty deep. You can easily enjoy them without knowing a thing about the main world as they largely work off on the side. Starting at the second novel, they interact with a major character from the main theme, but nothing more than what is provided in the book is needed. There's a minor visit from a main line character in the 4th book that is almost more of an easter egg than anything else. Lastly, the final novel is THE final novel, and was released shortly after he died. He completed the work (nothing will ever be official new Discworld) and does tie a bow on several open threads and one major character.
If you enjoy these, you would love the Discworld books. There's plenty of ways to read them too - by character arc, time, release, world time, etc. I'm old so I read them as they were released and enjoy rereading them depending on my story mood.

If you love Pratchett, these books are among his very best and also some of his very last. This is Terry Pratchett at the peak of his storytelling. I have read most of his books, and put these off because of the 'young adult' label. I should have known that even then, they would be a joy to read. As the series progresses, the main character grows up, and by the 4th book, I feel that these might as well be Discworld books - perhaps even a bit heavier in tone and feeling than you might expect.
The later books are among his best writing ever and definitely in my top 5 from Pratchett, which was absolutely delightful to discover. Definitely worth it at any price!
