I've had one since 2018, replacing a plain old Soundcore that I handed down to a relative. It has better bass and loudness overall than the previous Soundcore. I think it sounds pretty good for the size and price point. I primarily used it on the bathroom counter or around the house if I was working on something, doing dishes, etc.--mostly listening to podcasts, occasionally some music. HomePod Minis and Airpods have taken over most of that workload, but I still occasionally use it while shaving or showering. I paid the same price for it back in 2018. If the form factor works for you, I think it's a good deal.
Better buy Select 2S. Sounds much better, looks my much better. Have both of them. You can look for bundle on the page of 2 or 2s. In the bundle 2s+2 2s costed me around same 28$, and regular 2 from the bundle i just returned as already have one.
Its a great little speaker. I have a JBL Flip and its pretty much the same. I would say the JBL has a little more clarity and bass. For $30 I've been using it outdoors (golfing, snowboarding) and its been fine.
