Maybe printed a lot and nobody buying. Might as well wait for $19.99 at this point.

Don't you ever buy a remake for full price

It's normal. Capcom fighting collection is sub $15. It's not that these aren't cool, but the gaming prices for fighting game have had some corporate resistance for prices to be any lower. This is all fighting games. As a result, it's showing that only hardcore fans are the target for them and even then we are tired of the high price and lower value. So, I think bc if i didn't care so much as a SD I would buy at sub $20. But im gonna wait for sub-$15. The games in marvel collection I can remember have great sound FX and were one of the transitions for fighting game to be more animated while SF2 and MK were ruling at the time. And had creative ideas that did not copy fatalities (like pressing start button after the match to hit the dead corpse of the other player). And this was when characters and storyline were more fleshed out and brought in new audience. Before that, I felt it appealed to a niche audience when video games were still experimenting with ideas. This is history I am sharing from personal experience being at the scene. This was also when politics entered about video games as the "cause" of violence, and I recall opinions of disgust expressed when I pulled off a fatality at the grocery where they had arcade machines.

Exactly my thoughts. This game isn't worth more than $20. It's just a bunch of old CPS2 games that you already have on another 20 devices at home. You can even play them on emulator on your phone or PC. Nothing new or creative here. Online play is always useless until they close down the server. You mind as well download Fightcade for free and play online against people with an arcade stick.

Yes, and I was expecting that. I suppose I just wasn't expecting it to happen so fast! The physical version hasn't even been out for 2 months. Even for a niche title, that's an aggressive price drop.

Great post. Agree with all this as it resonates with my own experience
