Thanks. Product page had a note about high return rate but wasn't immediately obvious to me why - AI summary of reviews was generally positive.

We have two of these that we regularly use with our digital camera (Canon EOS SL2... so not super high end) and haven't had any issues, knock on wood.

4 for $35 128GB v30 lexar sd card https://www.buydig.com/shop/produ...ies-4-Pack
or 2 for $20 https://www.buydig.com/shop/produ...ies-2-Pack
I think V60 cards are better buy in 2025, V30 is not great for 4k 60p on modern cameras.

I own 3 of the Samsung Ultimate v30 cards. The write speeds are around 90mb/s. If you have a lot of photos on it, there is an initial delay in transfer to Mac before it gets going. I recently got a Sandisk V60 card and it's much faster sustained and you actually get the advertised read speed. Also with v60 I get faster write speed than the 150mb/s advertised. I got up to 170mb/s.

I did a test using a 25MP LUMIX S5ii RAW+L burst photo shoot and the only difference between these cards is that after teh burst that fills the cameras's ram, it took 2.5x longer to move the files from camera memory to Samsung v30. other than that there wasnt much performance difference. But going forward I'd get the Sandisk v60 cards due to transfer speed and the sustained performance.

I know people will look at the numbers and specs and compare to Lexar cause it's cheaper but keep in mind that nobody tells you about the sustained speeds and throttles. Also SanDisk has the best reputation when it comes to data loss. But these Samsung v30 are good for photos and if you are not in a hurry to transfer card to MacBook.

these v30 will work fine with s5ii 6k LongGop video. I'd def go with SanDisk v60 for any other format that is less compressed than LongGop

Lexar sucks with data loss and their write speeds are "up to" the advertised speeds. NO guarantees of sustained minimum speed. SanDisk v60 is the way to go.

>Lexar sucks with data loss
Quite the opposite. Sandisk(Western digital nand business) has more scandals in recent years and not fixing many of them. The cold data problem on blue ssd and the data loss problem of portable ssd, to name a few. I would not buy from them at all since they don't even fix problems, worse than OUTEL.
Does Lexar have systematic issues like sandisk does? I think there is none.

>their write speeds are "up to" the advertised speeds
that is more than enough, the advertised speed on premium brands are achievable with proprietary readers, not on generic readers nor camera or recorders.

>NO guarantees of sustained minimum speed
the v30 standard has a minimum speed requirement, and the cards can definitely meet that.
I think you don't know anything you talk about.
