Depends on area of usage. In Certain fields that use tapcons quite a lot will need a 5/16.. Plus many a/c, electrical stuff
5/16 and 1/4 are the most common screws used in HVAC
If you're doing electrical work get the two pack that includes the 3/8 & 7/16 (DWADNDMI2) Those 4 sizes are used more than any other in the US. YMMV

Great shallow sockets, had the magnet fall out of one of the shanks that I was able to superglue back in which happened after a couple years of abuse but no complaints

I'd rather have the similar set for 9.97. You get a better selection of sizes and they're also impact ready. The 1/4" size is kinda worthless to pay for in this set given that's the standard size bit for an impact driver's bit adaptor you probably already have.

This is nice. Wish each socket had it's own shank attached. Also wish it had it's own case. Basically, something different all together

Not seen much use for a 5/16. Most of the fence bolts (clamps and hardware for rails) either have a 3/8 or a 7/16. Never seen a 5/16 in any of the hardware that I have come across.

I actually use this as a bit holder because it seems to have a much stronger magnet than my milwaukee adapter. Since it's shallow for nuts, I place a couple of washers between the shoulder and the socket and it makes it just right to seat a bit.
