I will never understand people that complain about the sound quality on these, I've been using them for years, mostly listen to music, love them. The sound quality is great, it sounds like music is just magically being played in your life while you still can hear everything going on around you. If you want noise cancelling you can wear ear plugs. I have 2 different models and both sound great. I hate with a passion ear buds that plug up your ears. I can never go back to that garbage

My last open runs lasted 3 years of daily use before the power button gave out a few weeks ago. I've been holding out for BF deals. This is a great deal, for this one.

I may try the pro version as it's currently $124 on Amazon, and for some situations with louder background noise I'm wanting just a little more volume for my use.

I like the mini for a snug but not tight fit

Thinking skip the pro based on what I am reading.
I bought mini for $30 from target using $60 rewards.

I tried both pro and "regular" and preferred the better water/sweat resistance and sound of the "regular" (which is equivalent to this SE).

Size wise, the mini fits me better and less awkward on a headrest and wearing cycling helmets.

I dislike the proprietary charging connector, but the magnet is super sweet. Not sure I will like the newer version with USB-C.

Bone conducting sound is not for quality but allows you full awareness while getting "background music". Oh and suffice to say the mic sucks.

Debating on buying this as a backup pair as it's become essential part of my ride kit

Wait, what's pro about the pro version then, if the regular version seems better?

Not sound quality, although the bass is allegedly slightly better on the Pro. Pro supports multipoint, has better microphones, and a better case. These SEs are great! I've had both these and the Pro 1 for over a year and these are easily as good for the intended use.

What's multipoint? Sorry. And thanks for such a quick response.

Connect two devices to your headset at one time.

Since it has gotten cold I have been running with a thin headband on, would these work on top of that?

The quality might go down if there's a layer between your head and the headset, but they will definitely work under the headband. I wear headbands over mine pretty regularly.

I think my titanium red's are approaching a decade old now. I use them around 45 minutes a day consistently. The volume down button is starting to require a few extra presses though. I'm hoping they add back the red color or that dark green they once offered.

These are the best damned headphones on earth if you want to still hear what is going on around you.
I have the Aeropex, the Open Comm, and the Open Run.

People tell me that the microphone is the absolute best! People ask what I am using because the microphone is so much better than anything else.

Get some of these. They are freaking awesome!
