Walmart has the 18oz for $3.82.

$1.99 for 8 oz, a savings of .50 is front page?

FYI that is an old image, the product looks more Orange/brown than red now.

The "normal" jar size found is 18 oz. Might be worth buying as a sample but not as a regular condiment.

For this size (the 18 oz at Walmart is cheaper even if you want to compare it that way), and shipped with Amazon for free which can help make that stupid $35 threshold that sometimes shows up, it seems reasonable.

Has this suffered from the change in peppers debacle?

Yes, the peppers are different now and sourced from various different farms.

An 18oz container is $10 in Florida and Colorado... $2 for 8oz is a hell of a deal by me.

Can't believe it. Just $0.50 off (20%), and so many people are jumping up and down. It is really small size which doesn't last long.

YMMV. $7.48 here where I am, on Walmart.com, shipped by Walmart. Maybe it's cheaper in store but I find that unlikely. This deal is great for me.

Thanks OP, this is the perfect size as the taste deteriorates fast, and it can also go bad, unless you use a lot each time, this size is perfect for you for maximum freshness
