Just like this, DIY powdered peanut butter has benefits as being easier to mix into other products such as shakes, baked goods, sauces, or even sprinkled like a topping. It is also technically more shelf stable via reduction of moisture.
Sidebar: The fat in peanut butter is healthy, monounsaturated fat, and helps you feel full longer. Unless you need to cut calories, there's no reason to skip that oil.

Are you saying you get regular PB cheaper, then make your own powder? But...why?

I love when people who gatekeep my eating choices are also just repeating outdated narratives like "who cares what else you are eating? We all need more good fats!"
I'll throw this PB2 in my greens smoothie and you go ahead and eat your "healthy" fats

"The final product contains a range of nutrients that may offer health-boosting benefits. However, it's important to check the label when buying peanut butter. Many brands today add ingredients like sugar, vegetable oil, and trans fats that can reduce its nutritional value.
Natural peanut butter is available in health food stores and specialty grocers and can be easily found online. Look for a product that contains no additives other than a little salt."

If you want to talk about outdated narratives, the "fat makes you fat/fat is bad for you" myth has been promoted since the 1950s. Along with the idea that having less calories makes something healthier be default, which is also not a blanketed fact across the board.
Enjoy your PB2. No one is stopping nor judging you. For people who just want powdered peanut butter and aren't focused on cutting calories, there's cheap alternatives (this is slickdeals after all).
