Deal History

I bought two last time they were this price and honestly they are my favorite controllers. I prefer them to my KK3 mostly because if the dock. Don't sleep on these they are worth their weight.
Heck yeah. Got one in the last deal for my PC and I love it. Connects quickly when taken off the dock, I can't feel any lag in the wireless connection, and having it constantly topped up is fantastic. Going to snag another at this price to use with my Steam Deck when that's connected to the TV.
Quick tip - USB3's spec can cause wireless interference, so if you plug it in near other devices it may have issues connecting or being recognized. I resolved that by plugging the receiver in via a USB C adapter instead of directly into a standard USB port. Hopefully that info saves someone else the bit of headache I experienced trying to troubleshoot.

Doesn't 8bitdo make an Xbox Hall effect controller like this?
Xbox mode requires wire unfortunately. IIRC Microsoft's licensing cost for third party wireless mode is very expensive, so it's not very common in the market.
Does anyone know, does this version with the USB dongle work with the old Steam Link device? I still have a couple of those that I use in two setups in the house.

Not wireless(that I know of, I would be happy to be wrong)
For wireless there are only a couple from unknown brands and they have unreliable pairing and disconnects. Sadly the 360 wireless controller is our best option (outside of modding the Xbox Series controller with hall effect sticks) as it's Microsoft best controller ever made so it's the closest thing to a an xbox hall effect wireless controller.
There is however an xbox wireless option releasing on October 1 from PowerA that is wireless with hall effect but it's $100 and that's the closest and cheapest option available from a reliable brand.
Here's the controller for pre-order:
PowerA Wireless Controller for Xbox Series X|S - Fortnite SE, bonus virtual item included, hall effect thumbsticks, low latency wireless, Officially Licensed - for Xbox Series X|S and works on Xbox One and Windows 10/11, Bonus Virtual Item Included

Yes, I have the older ALPS version and it works perfectly with my OG Steam Link hardware.
By any chance has anyone who has this controller attempted to play on Xbox by connecting wired to a wall outlet instead of the Xbox and seeing if that would be a semi wireless option?
