you're most likely correct.
i did a few searches and came up with this. i'm sure they'll shave ounces off, every half year, so maybe these stats will be sad when someone reads them in a few years.

PARTY size appears to be ~24-25 ounces (varies by flavor of oreo)
FAMILY size which appears to be ~17-18 ounces
NORMAL size appears to be ~13 ounces

if one didnt know better, you might think this confusion is by design.

Wish they would use healthier ingredients. Like all oreos, those are full of artificial flavors and colors
