Like above said something seems amiss bc the reg price of the lower model 5 amp version is $299. I'm wondering if this is a continuation of all the delta factory made benchtop machine clearances.

I got this free with the 10 inch gliding miter a while back. It works fine, but the design puts the sanding belt/cylinder veeeeerrry far back from the front of the tool. Depending on how you're using it, may be ok, but it makes it much more difficult to look down on your piece being sanded. I make knife handles and I end up roughing them on this, then going to my wen oscillating spindle sander for finer grits as I can look down on the handle a lot easier.
