Didn't SMBU just lose their accreditation?

Apparently some of the boosters were taking everyone to Yoshi's Island for lavish parties using school funds. Plus The Hammer Bros also tested positive for banned substances (surprised?).

Check back in about 4 months, will likely be a 'Wonder'-ful deal on Black Friday - or if you are okay with a smaller discount there are a few posted here, just search Slickdeals

Was about to say this as well. Pretty sure Super Mario Bros U deluxe is about $10 cheaper around that time.

Just a reminder that if you do get the digital version of any of these games, it redeems like a normal $60 game on your Switch. And, gives you 400 gold coins or $4 in free money to spend on the eShop. Making the game $31 basically. And, even cheaper if you have a Circle Card with it's extra 5% off. And, the digital codes don't get taxed like the physical games (at least not in California), so you pay even less for digital than physical in this case, by about 5 or 6 bucks, after everything.

Is this a good price for donkey Kong. It's not a Mario game so not as hot/ big but it is still a bit old.

Why buy a game if you just plan to sell it? Plus, GameStop isn't going to give you more than $15 for any one of these probably.
Nintendo games typically offer the highest trade values for longer, especially Mario games. They may run a "trade any two games" for "a new game" sale, effectively making the trade $30. Also easier to let somebody borrow it.

Nice option to have but I also agree if you wanna keep the game forever digital is great and doesn't rely on changing out the card.

this game being re-released on switch, the way it was, is the epitome of nintendo greed.

i mean look, it's their IP, they can price and release it however they want, but back in the SNES era, they put out something called 'Super Mario All-Stars' which had every NES era mario game on the cart, plus the japan exclusive version of SMB2.

yes a few years back they did that again with 3d All-Stars, but strangely made it a limited time thing, and left out Galaxy 2, for whatever reason. Probably because it would've cost them an additional 5cents to make it a double switch cart game or something, to fit that extra game in the collection.

But this game here, this game was MEDIOCRE even upon release. it was the FOURTH game in this series, and each game after the first one was released on the DS only felt like a minor readjustment of the previous entry. they feel like they all use the same exact engine, same physics, same graphical look/art style, even the music is reused multiple times across the series. it's surprisingly lazy coming from the same company that were at the fore-front of video game innovation for a decade from the mid 80s on.

this release absolutely would've been worth $50 on the switch, had it included:
NSMB1 remastered for widescreen and HD, NSMB2 same deal and with all the DLC, NSMBwii, and NSMBWiiU.

although on the other hand, it simply would've been putting their own creative bankruptcy on display for all to see, right out in the open. anyone who attempted to slog through all four entries in a row would've come out the other end never wanting to see another 2d mario again. it's soul sucking how mediocre the series was in terms of innovation by the fourth entry. it's still almost the same game as the first one. one key difference is they never had the mega mushroom after the first one, and it was one of the coolest parts of that game!

in short, it's pretty outrageous that they even had the nerve to put this one single piece of crap game on a cart and re-release it on the switch, and even at this sale price, it's really just not worth it when Wonder exists, unless you've never played any of the NSMB games before, maybe. but people keep buying these greedy rereleases, and the upcoming donkey kong remaster will be bought also.

if people didn't buy this overpriced crap maybe they would've put out the games in collections instead, but nope, nintendo fans never let this greedy company down!

It's at a rate of 5% so it's actually 300 gold coins (equivalent to $3) for a $60 game.

I had a representative tell me they don't price match sale items anymore. It makes absolutely no sense.
