Apologies if this is a dumb question. I've always been wary of these buy one return one deals. Do you generally order as shipped, then return the unwanted/unopened piece of the purchase back to a home depot store? Or do you order to store and then only pick up one of the 2 products?

I just want to ensure I don't end up keeping the batteries if I don't need them. I have already gotten a few 6ah batteries on the maxtool deal last month. So don't want to end up with more batteries I cannot use. However I do need a router.

I've shipped to both home and store, then just return like normal at the store. It clearly says on your emailed receipt what the return value is of each line item. You should have zero trouble.

There are some cases where the employee might give you a hard time about it, but most of the time either of those options will work. You could also have them shipped to different stores, and just cancel one of the orders.

I tried it once, they didn't let me return the batteries only, I had to return everything. You also used to be able to ship one home, and ship one to store that way you just don't pick it up and it would get canceled, not anymore.
