I've had a v2 for a while as a replacement to my dead Google Nest hardwired doorbell. The cam plus for AI detection is cheaper than Google's service (although it will continuously alert for packages sometimes when someone walks by,) the doorbell quality is nearly as good and for $30 vs $150-200 it's really hard to argue against. Mine has been working well for months now.
Did you need to install the included chime controller? I understand the wiring, no where my mechanical chime box and transformer are located, but wasn't sure if I needed the chime controller installed or if it was unnecessary

I wish they would combine the V2 cam and the doorbell cam pro. The V2 has much better picture quality, SD card capable for playback but the pro has a wider camera, fishbowl capability and it has a standalone chime. I don't understand why this can't be all put into one doorbell camera.
I don't believe it works with the chime from the original. It says so on the faq's on the product page for Wyze. You actually use this with your original home mechanical chime - which was what I think the other guy was try to say to you.
