The Samsung S90C 83" is currently $2,999.99 at Samsung.com and other retailers. If you have EDU/EPP discount, your price will be $2699.99 before additional discounts. Let's get this out of the way first, this isn't as good as the previous deal where the starting price was $2499. Secondly the S90C 83" variant uses an WOLED panel from LG. It should be similar if not the same panel that's used on LG C3 83, A80L 83", and LG G3 83" (non-MLA). I'd love an 83" QD OLED panel, but they're currently capped at 77".

I was able to recycle an old TV for $100 discount. I chatted with a Samsung rep for 10% off, and I was able to use a referral code for an additional 5% off. My total was roughly ~$2430.

If there's any edits that need to be done, please let me know. I'm posting this from my phone, but I wanted to share this deal with others.

This is very tempting. Would be awesome if I had an employee discount to stack.

Hopefully QD OLED panels are in available in bigger sizes next year. I bought the S90C 77" 2x, but I cancelled them because I kept hoping for a deal on the S90C 83". I'm looking forward to zero dropouts with my gaming PC unlike my S95C 65".

Haven't heard any news, assume the same. I'm personally hoping 77 S90D is Gen 3. No confirmations yet, but plan on testing once Best Buy gets display units up.

The S90C 77" is using the same panel found in the S95C 77" so it's a 2nd generation QD OLED panel. 77" QD OLED panels didn't exist when the S95B launched. On paper, the only 3rd Gen QD OLED panels should be included with the S95D. I could be wrong, but I also believe the S90D is using leftover 2nd Gen QD OLED panels for the time being.

If you connect av receiver to Samsung tv, prepare yourself for tons of frustration every time you turn it on.
If it is going to be your main tv, this will drive you nuts

I haven't had any issues with my Denon AVR-S970H. In the last year it was connected to the QN90B 85", 2x QN95C 85", and now the S95C 65" until the S90C 83" arrives. I had panel issues with the 85" models that why I had to switch them out via Samsung's warranty. I also tested HDMI 2.1 passthrough with my receiver, and I haven't had any issues.

Not sure what you are talking about.

I have this TV connected to an Apple TV 4K through a Denon AVR-X4400H

Amazing TV with zero connectivity issues.

Also, The Samsung app for your phone has a built in calibration tool that uses your camera and wrks great.

This TV looks amazing. I upgraded from a 2017 LG 65" C7 OLED which r-tings rated the best TV at the time.

If you have the space and the $$$ buy it.

Anyone using this in a bright room? I was holding out for a deal on the S95C for this reason.

As someone who is on their second S95C 65", I avoid it all costs. The picture quality differences between the step down S90C is minimal. I believe the S95C has a higher peak brightness. It also comes with Samsung's One Connect Box. The first unit I received was faulty out of the box. The audio constantly dropped out while using my Apple TV 4K. My 3090 gaming PC, PS5, and XSX kept dropping out. It was unplayable.

After a failed tech visit, Samsung decided to swap out the entire unit with a brand new S95C. I'm still having issues with gaming PC, but everything else is working as intended. My PS5, XSX, and Denon Receiver with my Apple TV 4K are flawless. I actually bought the S90C 83" to replace the S95C so I wouldn't have to worry about the One Connect Box. The S95C will be going in my bedroom so I can still enjoy it without having to worry about the dropouts with my gaming PC.

With my first S95C, I tried $300 worth of different cables. UGREEN, Zeskit Maya, AudioQuest, RuiPro, and BlueRigger. It didn't matter because the One Connect Box was faulty. You'll know right away if you have a faulty unit. Some people get lucky with the One Connect Box, and it works as intended. I briefly tried out the QN900D 65" because I was going to wait until the 85" model went on clearance. Same song and dance. My consoles worked fine, but my gaming PC would randomly drop out due to the One Connect Box.

If I were you, I'd either look into the S89C 77" or S90C 77". The S95C premium isn't worth it.

Right… But we won't know S90D until it's actually confirmed. Anything else is speculation.

True! I misread that. My apologies. I'm thinking Samsung made the two models drastically different because the S90C and S95C were so similar when it comes to picture quality. The S95C wasn't worth the additional cost unless you couldn't live without the One Connect Box. I honestly feel like more people bought the S90C due to minimal picture quality differences and lack of a problematic One Connect Box.
