They're closing out models from several years ago. The quality on these is really really good. I own two streamliners from this era and they're fantastic guitars. I'm tempted by this one too, since it has a smaller body than my other Streamliners.

It's no more complicated to adjust the tuning on this guitar than any other, but you may be adjusting it pretty often especially while you break it in.

If you're brand new you may want to pass on this in favor of a hardtail model, they do come up for sale pretty often. The Bigsby is great for eye candy but unless you really want to actually use it, I don't think it's worth the added cost, weight and complication.

Spend the money you save on a nice clip-on tuner and a few sets of strings.
I think with the price being this low, the Bigsby is essentially free. As in, $229 is the lowest you're gonna see the hard tails go and that's a stretch.

Bottom line -
  • Specs alone are worth more than the sum total/ Got mine yesterday, fit and finish like mex charvel
  • Noobees stay away from this. You might just ruin your start and end quickly and no if the bigsbee is there you will use it. The dark side of the force will consume you
  • So buy to hang - "The Guitar, No case candy which is fine by me" - "Play if comfy with strat trems only

Is it a dark brown? Looks like dark red. Anybody use these for Rockabilly music?

For those with tuning issues:

1 - replace the Bigsby spring
2 - put on $60 locking tuners
3 - oil/lube the nut

I've had mine for a few months now, and it'll stay in tune even if I dive bomb with the Bigsby

Anyone else with one of these Streamliners having issues keeping their output jack tight? I think they forgot the locking washer inside mine which sucks because it's a huge pain to work on these. If you keep letting the jack spin around eventually the wire will break. I ended up putting silicone adhesive around the output jack nut as a fix to keep it in place. Not permanent and doesn't seem to mess with the finish.

I wish they had a semihollow model without bigsby on sale. I can barely play (started learning at nearly 40) and I'm a bit worried that bigsby adds unnecessary complexity to keep it tuned. I would not be able to use bigsby in the foreseeable future.
They have one without Bigsby on sale also
