Why does the website prices vary by store of it also disclaims price might be different in store? If it shows 1k online, it's prob 1k at that stor, right?

I guess the clearance strategy varies by store. If it shows 1k, it will be 1k. For my case, it show 399 and out of stock, but I was able to find one in store.

Not a bad deal. If you were to build this yourself it would cost $200-$300 more. But the 3050 will not get you 60fps @ 1080p in AAA games. You will have to tone down the graphics quite a bit if not getting 60fps bothers you.

What about this system makes it a "gaming desktop"? With an i5 and a 3050, it's a very average desktop for maybe some photo/video editing, etc. Even it's appearance hardly screams "gaming".
You know, you can take a break from being pedantic all over the PC deal threads from time to time.

This is perfectly fine for light gaming, especially if you're a patient gamer who only picks up titles when they appear in a Humble Bundle or Steam sale.

With a lot of the "diamond in the rough" and indie games to come out in the past couple years (Palworld, for example), you really don't need much more than this to have a great experience with 1080P gaming. It's also a perfect machine for emulation up to the Nintendo Switch.

Not everyone is jumping on the latest bloated, rehashed Call of Duty with a 144Hz monitor and an fps monitor plastered over their game window.

I think at this price point, the only question of whether to grab it is if you'd rather have a Steam Deck. But the performance on this far exceeds it.
