Been looking at this versus the arctis 9x trying to decide which would be the better experience. A lot of reviews say the 9x is better sounding but doesn't have anywhere near the same battery life.
Bought an Arctic Nova Pro Wireless headset, an Aerox 5 Wireless mouse, and an Apex Pro TKL Wireless keyboard from SteelSeries recently to upgrade my setup and I'm having hardware issues with all three devices. I'm not buying anything from them ever again.
BUY THIS!!!!
This was around 139.99 before BF, and the best I've seen. I have this model, it works great. I have it set for BT on my work Mac, and the dongle is plugged into my pc. BT doesn't work right on PC FYI.
I've had this headset since release and love it. I use it for Xbox Ps5 and pc. It's been great for me. I've even hooked it up to my TV. Battery life is great. You can listen to Bluetooth and gaming simultaneously.
I bought this for $145 a few weeks ago. They've been great so far. Make sure you update the firmware when you get it which addresses some of the complaints. Wicked cushions replacements helped with long term comfort too: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BK5C4BXD

Any SD opinions?
Don't buy the older generation steel series wireless headsets. Basically anything without Nova in the name. They're plagued by weak hinges in the ear cups that break and render the headset useless. That's exactly what happened to my 9X. Also I've tried 5 different headsets that primarily use XBox Wireless through the years, including the Microsoft one. The Xbox Wireless tech (the same used by the controllers) is a poor method to pass audio through. Plus it requires an Xbox wireless dongle if you want to use on PC, which currently Microsoft is seemingly not selling by itself. XBox headsets with a separate dongle are much better imo.
I have both this (which I got new for $108 during BF) and the Nova Pro Wireless a year ago. Both work great for me on PC and XBox.

I agree. 9X when it works well is great, but the connection issues really make me not recommend it. I'll never buy another Xbox headset that uses the same tech again.
One of the best xbox headsets. Better than the 9x that always has the connectivity issues.
Works on PS5 seamless. Just plug in dongle. Same for switch.
Just make sure to grab the extended 3 year warranty. Steelseries headphones tend top break.
I was about to bite but I read a few reviews saying they have issues with PC.
only issue i had was when PC sleeps, sometimes they disconnect, and i had to unplug the USB to PC and plug back in. you could just turn headset off when sleeping PC , that works too.

9X is old micro-usb (I'm almost positive) and nova 7x is usb-c if that matters to you.
