I thought the same at first but the flexibility of running this for 10+hours on battery or plugged in indefinitely to light a work area is invaluable. I got tired of using my 18650 lights. Plus being able to use my Ridgid batteries and LSA are huge for me. The right tools can make a job much easier.

This light plus two others typically as a combo pack go on sale every November and December for $129 for those that don't really need it.

I have this light. It is really nice for those that do want it.

I picked up the Ryobi one similar to this except 3000 lumens on Black Friday for $50 without battery or charger. It is solid and I have no complaints. I like that you can plug it into an extension cord and you can mount it on a Tripod. I've used it multiple times and it works great!!
I am tempted to get this one for the extra 4 amp battery (I have some Rigid tools too), The battery is $50 on DT right now without a charger (another $30) - so yeah, this is a good deal IMO.

Got this for $50 without battery a few years ago. Use it ALL THE TIME. It's so bright too. Probably my most used tool haha.

Got a version of this light a few years ago from directtoolsoutlet.com and it's a beast. Use it all the time. Great if the power goes out or you have to turn the breaker off remodeling a room. Totally worth it just for the battery as the light is "basically" free. Super tempted to pick it up. Haha.

Picked this light up this afternoon at my local HD on clearance for $75. Used it in my storage unit to light it up as I rearranged some shelves. Very bright. But ate through a full battery in less than 2 hours.

Tool only, or is that a different in-store deal on this kit?

I saw the previous gen at a SoCal Home Depot yesterday for $75 which prompted me to look online. I would have bought it if I didn't see this second gen deal.

LSA seems clutch — any idea how this compares with FLEX lights?
