A couple in my area show in stock and on clearance....might have to go check it out

Edit: Got one. It was locked up with the other gardening power tools and marked as $249, talked with one of the workers and had them scan it and it came back as $175.

Salinas, CA has three of these. The display said 249.99, but they rang at 175.

I just bought 2 of these today. They were in the rafters and range up 175. There was no display and the only ways you'd know is to check brickseek.

Military discount applies as well.

reviews are all good. Wish it was a little cheaper, only about 40% off.

Thanks OP. Picked one up at College Point in N.Y. Brickseek showed 5-6 in stock. Saw one more on the shelf after the one I picked up

Plenty around me, already in the makita family. Other then the occasional trimming, is the deal that good to not pass on?

My store had 3 left at this price. Used my Discover cash back on a discounted Home Depot gift card too.

It does not come with bar oil. I didn't realize this until I got it home and assembled.

I'm all Makita, easily - dozen 18v tools, but debating how much I'd use this. I have access, contractor father, to a bunch of gas chainsaws small and big.

Been waiting for a smaller cordless chainsaw to go on sale. Will be taking this on camping trips.

Thanks OP!

Makita has been extremely disappointing lately when it comes to tool and battery bundles.

It's gotten so bad it might be a better deal for me to switch to Milwaukee just to get the amount of batteries I need.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Makita bundle with multiple batteries in a tool I don't already own.

Just got one! The quality is more poor than XCU06.

1, take a look at the oil tank. It's glue together with 2 different colors of plastics;

2, the metal plate base for the bar is gone!

3, no metal spikes. This may be ok for a battery-powered saw as it has less torque.

Even a $39 HF corded chainsaw is made better.
