FYI, if you already own the PS4 version of Last of Us II, you can just buy the $10 digital upgrade to get all the new PS5 features. This is true whether you have the digital version of the PS4 version or the disc version (though you need to have the PS4 disc in the console to get the digital upgrade, and every time you want to play). The upgrade launches the same day as the full PS5 version: 2024-01-19

i'll never defend vidya pricing, but this game on 'native' ps5 should look and sound pretty amazing and there's a separate upgrade option if you already bought the ps4 version. that said, i'll wait till this goes on clearance. story is controversial, but most people agree it's a very well-crafted game. i'm happy for the option

60fps on PS5 alone is essentially a remaster in my book (essentially doubling performance vs PS4). The upgrade is $10 alone for disc owners since it isn't mentioned which isn't a terrible asking price.

Have it on PS4 but never intended on playing it until it reached its final state in terms of patches, content and upgrades. For people like me it's only $10 to upgrade to the PS5 Remastered edition. That's actually a very decent deal considering I got the PS4 disc for like $15.

that's a great point, and looking at my local FB, the ps4 disc is $10, so $20 all-in to get the new ps5 version, that's slick

$10 to get the added rogue lite survival mode is worth it alone

I'll happily upgrade to get even better fidelity and Dual sense controller features

If you haven't bought the game at all yet, save yourself some money and get the PS4 version for $20 or less and then upgrade....or don't upgrade, you don't have to and the game already looks and plays amazingly on PS5 at 60fps


people getting mad about "cash grabs" are hilarious
Nobody is forcing you to buy anything, this is an entertainment product, not a necessary commodity
