While not as amazing as whey because it doesn't have as much leucine, soy is still a solid protein source. About the best there is outside of animal-based protein.

The notion from 15 years ago that soy causes man boobs and increases estrogen levels has been largely dismantled by recent real world studies.

I was really hopeful for these for a couple reasons. 1. I actually like most of CLIF products. And 2. I live in the community where their dedicated factory is.
But I have to say that these are some of the worst protein bars I've ever had. Of course this is an opinion. But I've tried dozens of brands over the last 2 decades, and these are like 2nd to worst over the 90's chalk bars.

No artificial sweeteners / sugar substitutes / whatever other names they're called.

Very good. Ingredients could still be better, but I may still "bite." laugh out loud
