Clogging leading to have to clean walls and countertop and it does not appear to be shower head design resulting in certain grounds getting bulk of the water; and other grounds don't.
Review on Amazon: Long-Term Review of the Technivorm Cup-One: It needs some design revisions. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/revi...uage=en-US
I really enjoy this. I work in an office where there are a couple Keurig's that are used by many people so they aren't producing their best coffee anymore. I needed a good, reliable sip and the ability to put my hands in the process a little. It takes 5 - 10 minutes if you really fuss with things. Lately I've been running some water through the filter with no grounds, and then dumping it, and then running it again with the grounds in. And I sit and stir the grounds a little too. I could do it without those extra steps if I was just in a hurry and the coffee is still better than the Keurig. Doing the extra steps makes it that much better.
As for the clogging - yep. It's a thing if you don't poke the hole. I bought a mat just for this from weathertec. It's the perfect fit and it has a raised lip so in the event it does clog and overfill then at least I've got myself covered. Insurance policy I guess. Google WeatherTec ToolTray.
It comes with filters which is nice. I feel like there were quite a lot of filters - 3 boxes of 80 I think. I've easily replaced going to Starbucks and coffee shops / cafeteria coffee completely. I enjoy the sips so much I end up drinking the whole cup over a longer duration and enjoying it more. Before this I was doing a french press and dumping half the cup when it got close to the muddy part. So if you can live with the small shortcomings, it's a pretty great coffee maker. I actually have two - one for home, and one at the office. My wife doesn't drink coffee and I don't want to carry a thermos around.
