Apple was forced to use USB C by the EU so unless they don't want to sell in the EU, I doubt they will be switching connector anytime soon.

Apple used lightning for 10 years and finally switched to the industry standard USB-C on iPhones. "Apple keeps going back and forth with their inputs" lol unless we are counting the 30 pin connector that was last used 11 years ago…

Mophie is a real brand, rather spend $6 on 1 cable vs $12 for 6 crappy no name brand cable.

This is an excellent deal if it's real. Got good reviews for charging and data. From Mobile Review.

The review was for the USB C-C cable and this deal is for the C-Lightning cable. Not the same thing.

Apple keeps going back and forth with their inputs. Because they make alot of money off proprietary accessories. In the future, I wouldn't be surprised if they go back to Lightning 2.0 or whatever they want to call it.

I made a bad choice and picked up a 4S in '14 as my first iPhone because I wanted a small phone at the time. Still had that jumbo connector but, yeah, it's been almost a decade since that was discontinued. It's been a shame seeing tons of accessories for that connector at thrift stores that can never be used again. Hopefully Bluetooth and USB-C help stop the waste.

I agree with you, but they still do pull some questionable stuff like the base model of the new iPhone 15 and the Plus have data transfer speeds are capped at 480 Mbps as USB 2.0. It's kind of crazy to me to charge so much for a phone and giving consumers transfer speeds that were around 23 years ago. USB has come so far since then. I know this doesn't matter for most people buying those phones, but it should be at least mentioned.

If you don't really need a cable now and plan to upgrade in the near future, don't be tempted by any of the current or future lightning' cable sales. No phone or accessory of the future will use lightning. Remember: your need for a lightning cable will diminish with your last device that uses it. I foresee my last will be my ipad, so I may still need them for a while, but with the recent amazonbasics deals I got just too many already. This is a nice cable and all that, but usb-c to lightning is just a phase now like your sis's emo phase.
