Thanks Iconian for posting! Truly conflicting information there with the XLR plug description, as Bozo said, and the picture of a speaker cable (instrument cable is coaxial, and much thinner). I bought one because that's a great price but I am kind of wondering what I'll receive

PSA: don't mix speaker cables and instrument cables, instrument cables are something like 20-24awg, way too thin for any kind of PA/guitar speaker application, and speaker cable isn't shielded, so you'll get a nasty hum if you use it with an instrument.

I actually happened to buy this exact cable a week ago. I use it for guitar. Zero humming.

In for 3, but did anyone else notice it says it's an XLR cable, even though the pic's show it's a 1/4 inch male to male? Instrument cable as opposed to a mic cable in most cases. Peace

Same! Paid $9 last week. Buying 2 more and returning that one…aka the "DIY Amazon doesn't pricematch themselves" adjustment.

I hate doing that, but it's what Amazon actually told me to do. The version I bought said "similar" to this one but the descriptions are basically identical, curious to find out if they're different.

Ugh.. really wanted to use it as a PC speaker cable. just a smaller gauge wire, and my speaker is like 20-30W

Good price and right angle cables save your input jacks, but from experience: try to buy the shortest cable you need. A 10' cable when sitting in front of your amp all the time is annoying and always gets in the way and tangles.

If the construction render is correct, this is a dual lead, non shielded cable. A proper instrument cable uses a ground braid and the dielectric to creat a Faraday cage to resist magnetic interference.
