I highly recommend sticking with established brands for these. We have food jars my kid has used for school for at least 5 years, and thermos was able to sell just replacement rings so we didn't waste the whole jar.

Picked this up for my wife and daughter. Thank you. Great containers and the price you can't beat. Especially with back to school.

Can anyone chime in if this is a good product at a good price vs. some of the ones available at Costco?

Looks like a bunch of recent reviews that say the side colored material comes off quickly

Vacuum-sealed? Hardly. The lid screws on and there is air in with your food.

Now, the double-walls are vacuum insulated, but when I read vacuum-sealed, I thought I could pump out the air to vacuum seal the contents.

I guess another way to read this is, what they are saying that the insulation gap is vacuum sealed with no air in between walls. It is a little convoluted writing

Are these good for keeping herbs fresh? Or should I stick to glass jars?

I don't see why this would be better than a glass jar, unless you're talking about weed like the other poster.
