The glass version was on sale recently for $4 more. Not knocking the plastic version, but the glass version is amazing.

I don't think they're made for repeated microwave use. No plastic is, really. "microwave safe" just means the container itself won't heat up. The glass ones will be much better for long-term use in the microwave, without the top.

I bought a lot of these cuz I thought they were the greatest things ever. After a couple months they start leaking and don't seal well and then the plastic AKA Triton starts cracking and you end up throwing them out after about 6 months.

I don't heat my meals as I'm out in the field when I eat and I have 1 set that's at least 4 years old. So can confirm not using in a microwave helps.

Have both the glass and plastic versions. I'd skip the plastic - they don't hold up great over time if using the microwave. The glass ones are amazing though.

Lesser of two evils, perhaps. Evil, nonetheless.

Heating at lower temperatures can help to circumvent degradation. I am partial to glass myself, as well. But I've seen it chip when storing them and you don't want to be eating glass.

They have lifetime warranty. I got a refund after 3 years because mine started cracking.

Haven't ever had issues with mine over time. I still love them, but I'm also looking for the glass ones for my next purchase.
