I have tried this and do not like the taste for Cold Brew or Drip Coffee. I love the Super Crema and the gold bag I forget the name.

That being said I never used for espresso.

I bought Gran Crema recently and the seal had 2 small holes so it wasn't actually sealed, spoke to Amazon and they sent a replacement for free. First bag was roasted 3 months ago, second bag was roasted 6 months ago. Just fyi.

Yea I think pinto beans make pretty garbage cold brew too.

This is the only espresso bean I but now. I been using it daily for years. Super smooth, fresh dark roasted and oily AF. Makes an amazing cappuccino.
FYI this is normal price most of the time and you can get a 2 pack for $30-32 most of the times

Just grabbed a bag of gran Crema from Costco for $10.99 (sale ends 8/20/23) and the freshest bag I could find was roasted 2 months ago. I canceled a few bags of coffee from Amazon prime day and only kept the Lavazza Tierra bag. The rest of the Lavazza at my Costco had 3 month roast dates.

The super Crema also doesn't work in the aeropress, it's only tolerable with a semi-auto or super-auto Espresso machine.

3 months old is rare on Amazon. When they have it on sale it's because it's getting very old. Lavazza has a "best by" date that is wither 18 or 24 months out which is idiotic. Any coffee is significantly worse at 3 months out from roast. My costco has a pretty good distribution from Peets because sometimes the beans are only a week out from roast.

Cool, in for 1. Hopefully less oily than the regular espresso roast, that one clogs up my automatic.

Got the coffee bean and tried I still prefer Starbucks or Peet's especially if you only drink black coffee.

Bought this bag since it's one of the only ones I hadn't tried from Lavazza. Made espresso shots and added just frothed milk without sugar to really taste the coffee and I gotta say that between all the Lavazza bags I still prefer the Super Crema. This espresso bag has more of a Starbucks type flavor whereas super crema has a nice smooth creamy taste. If you prefer dark roast then this is pretty good especially for the price but if you want smooth and creamy espresso shots then go for the Lavazza Super Crema

That's pretty darn impressive, I'll need to check their peets coffee bean roast dates, however, I find any dark roast at Costco is more of a burnt roast.

My Tierra bag from Amazon has a best by date of March 2024 so it was roasted 16 months ago...

It's also important to note that Amazon has poor logistics and storage so the beans could have been sitting in a 90 degree warehouse for a year before getting shipped out. Even if the roast date is 3 months, if it's been sitting in their warehouse for months at temps of 80+ degrees, the coffee beans would be stale within a week or so. At least from Costco, you can physically see that they're still shrink wrapped and Costco has always been great with food logistics. Not to mention Costco's amazing return policy, makes it a no Brainer.
