It looks like the D2 Max EB can recharge without the main unit. The D2 cannot.

This is incorrect. Delta 2 Max EB can't be charged alone with AC nor Solar

So this deal is for a Delta 2 Max Power Station plus an extra battery (choose from two)? So over 4kwh capacity for under a grand?

EDIT: NVM, I re-read OP and see that PS not included.

nice pricing for two. at that per watt hour price, it's equal to buying the delta pro at $1556. a refurb of the pro is $2299.

Will this work with a Delta 2 or does it require a Delta 2 Max? It looks like the Delta 2 Max is $1899 (before 10% off) on Amazon and I could not find it for sale on Homedepot.com. But...perhaps this could be combined with the Delta 2 + Delta 2 Extra Battery deal on Homedepot.com to qualify for the 30% tax credit. That would work out to $1930 for the combined deals (excluding taxes, assumes 10% off coupon/military at HD) or $1351 after tax rebates to get all Delta 2 LFP system with 3 batteries.

UPDATE: In looking at the EcoFlow Wen site, it looks like the Delta 2 can be expanded with a Delta 2 or Delta Max extra battery, but there is no mention of expansion with Delta 2 Max extra battery.

i'm just saying at the per watt hour price of buying two of the delta 2 max batteries, a dp would be $1556. i know that these don't work with a dp and i'm not comparing the power for each. with this specific promo at amazon it's $1771/4096wh = $.4323/wh x 3600 = $1556 for a dp. that is an excellent per wh price and does include my tax amount.
