I saw reddit review said it was not realiable too. What headsets do you use for gaming console? Astro is great, but didn't support xbox and ps5 together. (need to purchase another.....)

I think they fixed the issue with it staying on with series X. One of the firmware updates couple of months ago fixed it.

Though the display being ON while headset is in use is still an issue. On the Arctis pro wireless you could set the display to turn off on timeout. So the OLED screen is not getting burned out. Also having the display on is distracting if someone wants to use the headset in a dark room. Kinda weird that they removed features that the Arctis pro wireless already had.

Rtings ranks this model as their favorite among current wireless headsets https://www.rtings.com/headphones...s-for-xbox

Personally, I stay wired for Xbox. I haven't found a wireless headset designed for Xbox that doesn't have connection issues. That proprietary connection is a real drag.

I'd love to test this on PC, but I just picked up the HyperX Cloud Alpha wireless for about half the price. I'm told my mic isn't as clear as it was on my Bose QuietComfort gaming headset, but the sound is great, and 300 hour battery life is clutch.

I also don't recommend using any DTS or spatial audio that these headsets use. Might be personal preference, but I usually leave them off. Dolby Access on the PC seems to work best if I use anything.

No, Oled display still stays on after firmware update. Hasn't been fixed.

Astro are good but I would go with the artics 7X or artics nova 7X as they are both compatible with both systems and sound great at half the price!

Have this model for the Series X, love it.
Prefer it over my Astro A50s, tho I wouldn't get rid of those either

Really? I thought it was fixed. Here's what the GG 29.2 firmware update description says. Does sound like they fixed it -

Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and Arctis Nova Pro Wireless X: Firmware Update
- Add "Power Saving" setting in System Setting menu
— When Power Saving is set to ON, dongle will turn off when going into USB suspend
— When Power Saving is set to OFF, dongle will stay ON during USB suspend

Of course, I might be mistaken. I'll have to connect it to check (I don't keep it plugged in because of a toddler who loves to play with it 😊). I was on one of the Reddit threads and others confirmed too that it was fixed. Have you made sure to check with power saving ON?

Xbox port is only for Xbox, so only one usable port on back outside of Xbox. Jist bought wired version for 218. Wireless is cool but not worth $100+ premium when I ain't leaving my desk with it.

I like these, I started with Siberia(mic sucks), and then arctis wireless pro but yes since this is a semi-closed can it is hot unlike my Astros, but these have multiple uses and are pretty durable. I bought these but returned it and just decided to continue using my arctis wireless pro, no difference. FYI. This and arctis pro are the only ones I know that allow parallel output with Bluetooth, my Mobius doesn't same with Penrose.

How often are people really using Bluetooth in parallel? If I'm playing games I ain't talking on phone, listening to music, or want to hear notifications

I listen to music while playing games (Rocket League, Overwatch) almost all the time.

These are awesome headphones. Get the cooling ear pad replacements from Wicked Cushions to keep ears cooler and from the ANC speaker hurting your ear.
