Really Good Build quality on the Yammy A6, good price. The biggest thing is I don't really care for the YPAO Room correction thou. I have the Onkyo Rz-50 that has similar specs and it costs about $325 less. The biggest draw is that is has Dirac room correction which is fantastic. A slight learning curve to use it, but well worth it. It also has 9.2ch w/ 11.2 channel processing pre-outs. Might be a good option for some on a lower budget who want to go w/ Dirac RC.. There is a $1325 deal that was posted.
Big Yamaha fan. Own 2 older models. Their parametric EQ is second to none. I just can't get past the cyclops faceplate. Why Yamaha? This is almost as bad as the switch from 70s vintage receivers to 80s knob delete, all black plastic.

I agree with the front face plate! I mean, it's almost as bad as the Marantz "Monicle" ! what's wrong with making a receiver look like a receiver! lol

Yes, from the unit I have the QC is fine. The company was cash strapped 4-5 years ago so I assume things were let go, now there owned by Klipsch/Voxx. It is there RZ line which supposedly has the better internals and the 3 yr warranty. I'm sure thou they have the same fail rates that Denon does out of the factory. I have not seen any major problems w/ this line on the forums. The fact that is has Dirac in the box is really huge as that alone is about $300 in value. Of course, If I had infinite $$$, I would just buy the Yamaha A8, or the Denon A1 or the Marantz 8015, all of which are $3,500-$6500! Crazy what the receiver companies have jacked up receiver prices to and there not going to bring them down anytime soon if people keep buying at these elevated price points!

I sold my 3300 for 300 on AVS. Reckon you could get 350 or more for the 4300.

If only their HDMI DAC did not have such high distortion. A shame given that this is a unicorn receiver that has balanced outputs for the front two speakers. Huge missed opportunity.

Edit: I'm re reading Gene's review and it looks like the high distortion is only for the center and the surround channels and that too only when the volume level exceeds -9dbfs.
Based on that it appears that the output to the FL FR from the HDMI (say Apple TV/Apple Music) for music listening should be extremely clean.

Agree 100%. I couldn't get past the robot look of the TSR-700. Instead of centering and making the volume knob ginormous they should have gotten rid of it and just used buttons or touch controls. Heck, I can't even remember the last time I even used a volume dial on my AVR's.
