I bought this last year to give it a try - It is not very good (at least to me)

It is almost like the topping is a powdery fake cheese (like something that comes in a mac and cheese envelope but colored red).

There is really not a lot of flavor to this, and when you add more to try to get some taste it becomes gritty.

I tried this on chicken and a few other things but could not find a 'home' for this spice on any food. IMHO you are better with using a salad dressing powder on a pasta salad etc,

But - maybe others will like this
This is sooo good when combined with Italian dressing and tossed on angel hair pasta with fresh tomatoes, bell peppers, onion, and cukes.
Almost a negative for me at this point because then I have to add my own.

Placed an order. I checked the ingredients and there is nothing egregious to be found. I was surprised to find that salt is way down on the ingredient list ...

Don't ask me why, but my mom has used this + butter on italian bread as our italian bread seasoning for as long as I can remember. I have carried this tradition as it works with our homemade sauce.

Whenever I see this as a result I get hungry for lasagna....

Thanks OP, ordered one.

Butter up some flatbread or Greek pita and sprinkle this on top, then bake just long enough to crisp up the bottom of the bread a bit. Slice up the bread and dip in marinara or pizza sauce. SO good. Another option is to bake the bread a few minutes, then add shredded cheese and the Salad Supreme. The inexpensive frozen Greek pita from GFS works well.

For those familiar with the Detroit-area restaurant Olga's, this is what's on their super-addictive Snackers appetizer, it is similar to what I described above except they use oil instead of butter, fry their bread, and serve them with a delicious, spreadable almond cheese.

It is interesting how much the public's perception of MSG has changed. I wonder how much of it was also influenced by Uncle Roger.
