I have this set. Quality is excellent for a homeowner/weekend warrior and there is very little "filler". It's a great set. This price is close to the pre-pandemic price I paid.

HD has some other sets on sale. For someone who doesn't (think they) need deep sockets or some of the bits, would this be sufficient?

I love this set. I have bought three of them over the last year and a half. A couple at $99 first and one at the new, inflation price of $149. At either price it doesn't disappoint.

I agree deep sockets are a must. I picked this up at this price recently and am very happy with it. It is fairly large and heavier than I expected so this one will probably stay in my garage, and I will pick up an additional smaller set for my car.

The Amazon regular price shows $425 but HD's regular price is $190, which sounds more realistic. No way this is a $425 set.
