You literally offered zero evidence to support your claims, yet expect people to believe some random smug guy on the internet. It's so easy to write something off as snake oil, takes zero effort or knowledge, you're not as cool as you think you are.

I use collagen not for tightening my skin, but rather for management of joint health since I play a lot of high impact sports, and it has noticeably helped in pain management and recovery. Money happily spent 🤷🏻

I've noticed increased hair and nail growth about two months of taking it daily. My wife's hair got a lot fuller as well with clearly seen new baby hair growth around the hair line.

Nothing necessarily wrong with this brand. It's made/manufactured stateside so wouldn't really worry about contaminants, maybe just the quality source of the actual ingredient (collagen peptide). If you really want piece of mind, I recommend getting the 1.5lb tub of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptide at Costco when they go on sale for around $20. Amazon has good deals on some supplements, but my go-to is usually Costco for certain things such as collagen, probiotics, fiber pills, superfood powders, and Ashwagandha. You never have to worry about getting fake stuff and the price is always just as good, if not better, than the random brands on Amazon (just make sure you get them when Costco runs their sales). I find that Costco typical cycles through their supplement discounts once every 2-3 months, so its easy to stockpile when needed.

Hey, thanks for heads up that there's a problem with this brand. Is there anything you recommend as a guide for what is good/bad in terms of what's in here vs other brands? Is orgain good?

Collagen peptides are snake oil. Pretty much zero scientific consensus on their use for any medical or health purpose. Might as well light your money on fire, folks.

Surprisingly there are data to support. But only for short chain peptides. https://youtu.be/WAS9hz5_rSE

Hmm, I was taking orgain peptides with my coffee every morning for about two months but did not realize much change. Perhaps a bit stronger in my nails. That said the unflavored mixed very well with coffee and game some protein which I found helpful as I skip breakfast. Any recommendations to help with inflammation on the supplement side? I've had some lower back issues that are not joint related

You have to take collagen consistently for a year/years to see and feel results. My senior citizen mothers been taking collagen since 2017 and it's helped everything from hair and nails to her knee not hurting anymore.

In terms of inflammation - I'm sure you've looked into anti inflammatory foods.

Huh, really? Not being defiant but any sources on that (I know some where shared above) that clarify why that is etc? I was optimistic about them but did not realize it would be that long.

Yes, I have looked into that as well. Unfortunately healthy me continues to do harm at times and was wondering what could be done to help (minus making the obvious and difficult changes lol)

I have no sources just personal experiences. Some can say they're placebo but my parents are immigrants who came to this country with $100 in their pockets. They are frugal as hell. They keep a revolving year supply of grassfed collagen in their cupboard from Costco (will post deal). And they attest to this working. My moms knee doesn't hurt anymore and they both say it has helped their hair and nails. Whether it's snake oil who knows… if it's placebo then they sure have my parents who worked tirelessly their entire lives paying $28 a bag per month for five years now - fooled

Vital protein every morning was helping my severely dry eyes, nose a mouth, just a little.
That must be clear: just a little is a lot. Hope to see other benefits.
Wish we knew the source of the collagen here on this brand.

How exactly does a "Fakespot score" pertain to this particular product unless it's not real collagen peptides, and the review never says that?
