FYI this is Warner's routine. The digital copies are only available for a limited time. With standalone releases, they're usually connected to a slipcover. No slip means no digital copy, because the digital copy is only mentioned on the slip. Anyway, as said in the last post, there shouldn't be a digital version with this set.

Amazing price but I'm not sure if these include the digital codes as well anymore? They're not in the box cover art mentioned

The digital versions come up on Fanflix for $5 each fairly often and you can also buy them on code exchange subs on Reddit for very cheap.

This version is solid for $40 (the discs absolutely look better than streaming) but it's insane to me that people are paying $168 for the middle earth collection.

If I'm looking for the best possible set, is there any better version/collection out there?

Which, as it happens, still includes the digital codes.

Yes, the Middle Earth 6-Film collection is far superior to this. I bought this set when it came out and had to get it exchanged 3 different times due to poor quality. The first 3 sets of this I had, had a hairline crack on the edge of one of the disks which prevented that disk from being played.

Well, because my steelbook trilogy set has defective discs and they absolutely refuse to respond to my email inquiries asking for help, I caved and bought this set to get replacement discs. Foolish I know, but FYI they are 100% unresponsive when it comes to support (Warner Bros). I've been emailing them for the better part of 6 months at both [email protected] and [email protected]

Great set. Just watched it about a month ago. Got it for about $50 last year around this time.

Yes, this is definitely a different cover and no digital codes would be included. I got the older one on eBay for $36 back in February and it said digital code on the top and included the code.

The Harry Potter and Matrix series wasnt like that. It was available through Prime Video when we ordered it and the sets didnt have any type of slip in them.

Is the 4k version truly better than the only blu-ray version? I have the extended bluray but can't decide if it's worth getting a 4k.

If you're a fan of LOTR and have the system for watching it, then it's worth the upgrade. Better picture, dolby vision/hdr, and an amazingly mixed atmos soundtrack. It's a significant upgrade!

I would agree, now if included a cool collectible figurine as prior maybe.

As much as PQ gets pointed out, the AQ is a much bigger difference regarding streaming.

If you have an optimal object based setup these are one of the discs that truly utilize Atmos really well IMO. This says a lot because the BD version were already reference material.
