So the flip6 and power bank were delivered. I was able to mark the powerbank for return and it says I will receive $23.82 back. This effectively makes the Flip6 $67.16 (or $71.53 with tax). Essentially this becomes cheaper than the flip5, and it's upgraded and dust resistant. Thanks OP!

Looks like they assigned $22.47 to the power bank and only $67.48 to the speaker. Going to buy the bundle and try to return the power bank and see if it refunds the $22.47. thanks for the post OP. Much better deal if this works than the flip 5 on front page. The flip 6 is significantly better and cheaper using this method, if it works. It is getting delivered tonight and I'll update when I find out.

If a device like a phone has two speakers and only one is being used for some reason, that will definitely sound worse because it's essentially working at half power. Now if you're sitting 12ft away from the front of a stereo/surround setup whose floorstanders are 8ft apart, now we're talking.

Battery return will only get what it is paid in my case (after coupon).
I paid $16.85 for battery before tax, but in the refund page it shows refund subtotal
$14.41 including tax.

I would like to ask those that got their speakers if they would be so kind to post the color and the first two letters of their serial number? JBL has different versions. Of all their speakers all with their own pros and cons.

Initially, GG models were the best when these first came out last year. Made In China. I've heard a GG and a GT (made in Vietnam) and personally prefer the sound of the GT model.

There is other revisions such as TT and more I can't think of.

Also, since Amazon is not an authorized JBL retailer are we just out of luck if these die within a year?

FYI the JBL Charge 5 is also available with battery for a similar deal. Ended up getting one for ~$80 after using an Amex 20% off coupon and returning the battery.

I was able to pick up a gray one today, thanks for your comment which gave me hope. Had to keep checking throughout the day but eventually one was in stock. Showing $22 for the battery which I'll return later. Slick deal OP!

Picked up the grey and white bundle just now. The bundles with the white battery are in stock but Amazon only listed that one at $22.47 for the battery, oddly they assigned a lower value on it with the other speaker colors.

Question about the cancellation process. I received the speaker today but the battery hasn't shipped yet. If I try to cancel now it looks like I would cancel the entire order. Do you need to wait until both items are delivered, and then will it let you cancel the battery by itself?
