About 2 years ago I paid $200 for an 8 port net gear switch with only two 10 gb/s ports. But I needed a fat data connection from my office computer to my server.
10 gb networking is still really expensive. In fact, it has only been the most recent generation of motherboards (z690, and x670) where even 2.5 gb/s has become relatively standard. Before that it has only been on the crazy expensive "godlike" line of motherboards to get more than a 1 gb/s nic.

If you live in a house that is wired for ethernet, you almost definitely arent getting 10gb/s out of the wire itself. This is basically an ELITE business class purpose switch.
I have several TrendNET 10GbE switches and have tested this with spools of Cat5E.

No SFP+ ports
Just because a Corvette doesn't have 4 wheel drive and can't do off-roading doesn't mean it's not a good deal at 10% off.

It does exists and sometimes even cheaper while having more features. I scored one of the Netgear MS510TXPP just a while back. The MS510TXPP is far superior in almost everyway. The features alone is unmatched and not even close.
The price of MS510TXPP fluctuates to $350 and that's normal but I was lucky enough to get it at $252. Check camelcamelcamel [urlhasbeenblocked]history price and you will see what I mean. Price may come back down again anytime soon. Keep your eyes open.

Also CAT 6 is also not guaranteed for 10Gbps transfer its actually CAT 6A.
