So many bad reviews l out on the internet. Common is that it does not get very warm, if at all. With it not being very cold out right now, a lot of people will probably store it until fall. However, at that time it will be too late to return. I have 2 in my cart, but not sure if I will complete.

There's a significant difference between "car living" and "living in your car." Much in the same way that there's a difference between camping and living in a park.

Great to have for electric cars, and less power drain than running the heater unless you have a heat pump.

This seems to be good for camping as well (I have a power station)

Looks like it draws about 50 watts. I'll put it in the sleeping bag then I should be good for the entire super cold night.

My elderly mother wants a battery powered electric blanket, something like this might fit the bill... I would have to modify a cig lighter cord to a standard wire for a 12v battery... or get one of those camping battery power station things. When she lost power during the Texas Ice Bowl of 2021 she had to camp out in front of her fireplace with 2-3 blankets.

The downer here is the battery is going to end up costing more than the blanket will. I wonder how long a 12v 7ah LA battery would power this for at a 50w draw.... Those are readily available for $20ish.

Probably 20mins. 12V x 3.5AH (50%) depth of discharge is your usable power. So a 12V 7ah battery gets you 42 watts

I don't know... taking down the monopoly on affordable housing by living in my van out of protest is pretty high up there for me.
