If you store them in a garage or shed when they are not being used, they actually hold up very well and will not rust. I dont think these chairs are meant to bel left outdoors permanently.
I got two of these exact chairs a couple years back on a deal and they have held up fairly well even with two kids who insist on playing in them, a large dog who thinks she's a lap dog, and my pregnant ass last summer. We keep them in the shed in the winter and they don't have any rust, yet, I guess.
If youre anywhere around 200-250lbs this thing wont last long. Its rated at 250lb but the locking mechanism is weak and will break after a few uses.

I had 4 of these, all of them rusted within 2 years and fell apart from being outside.

Water will get into the hollow steel frame and also cause damage from the inside extremely quickly.

Not mentioned, the rusted water will stain the patio floor.

I've had similar chairs for at least 5 years now. If you store them in a shed or basement, that is obviously your best bet. I absolutely love these on spring and summer days in the backyard.

Idk about that, I'm 6'3" 215 and have had a pair of these chairs for 3-4 years now. They are still going strong.

All these people complaining about rust...you have to be some kind of special to think these chairs are made to be left outside when not in use. Take the extra 2 minutes to take care of your stuff and these will last. I have 2 very similar chairs that I've had for 7 years that we use around the pool. They're both still in great shape because we store them in the pool shed when not in use. It's not rocket surgery, folks.

Thanks, OP. In for 2 more.
