Does the "hack" still work? Last week I placed two orders for two ratchet sets as part of the buy more save more. After receiving the confirmation email I was not able to cancel any individual items using the website or the app. The website allowed me to select items in my order after which the only button available to click was "cancel entire order". I don't know, maybe had I proceeded only one item would have been cancelled, but based on the confirmation to cancel the entire order after I clicked it, I don't think so. The app had a message stating items could not be cancelled and I had to call for assistance. I did not call.

I am fairly certain that was the base M12 combo for $99 not the FUEL version posted here. No comparison in between the two.

I am fairly certain that Xmas special was the base M12 combo for $99 not the FUEL version posted here. No comparison in between the two. If the FUEL version was $99 it would have sold out in seconds. Great professional combo.

I believe the $99 was for the regular m12, not FUEL and it came with two 1.5ah batteries not 2ah and 4ah.

I wish they would do a bundle with the surge instead of the regular impact. Both great tools but the surge is pure joy to work with. The noise difference doesn't seem like it should be a big deal but it really is.

With impact hex shank drill bits surge can do most everything a drill can do too. I normally only bring my surge with me (instead of impact+drill) to cut down on carry weight.

Sadly I need a replacement drill for the occasions I do need it. The bare 1/2 hammer drill never goes on sale. I want to buy another surge to give to my dad but it's rare to see it go on a deal.

Don't think we will ever see the $97 kit again but I'm hopeful we at least see the hackable $199 m12 kits which would knock the price down to $113

$97 was for the fuel version. I sold batteries and charger for $60 on FB marketplace.

Can you please take me to your time machine so I can get more at that price please? This is still a great price at 140 but too be fair, it seems like the normal price with how often I have seen it. The 100 was a no brainer and wish I got more then 1 set.

Milwaukee and Home Depot knows that and doesn't bundle the surge in with a special price like this. Those extra features you must pay for, just like everything else. These drill combo sets are on sale for a reason, slow turn over and less demand. Why would the retailer give out a sale on a highly sought after produc like the surge versiont? It just doesn't make sense.
