You are forgetting the key ingredients: Garlic and Ginger. Garlic goes in EVERYTHING in Korean cuisine just like Italian.
Also, add MSG in that as well.

Make this yourself. The 3 basic ingredients are (1) toasted sesame oil, (2) sugar, (3) soy sauce. You can add black pepper, smoked paprika, or whatever spices you want to experiment with.

Just checked the Korean BBQ sauce which we pick up from the Korean grocery stores around us for around $4 when they are available during one of their frequent sales. All of them are around 30 oz, almost twice the size of these 16 oz bottles.

Nevertheless if you're not near a Korean grocery store, this is a decent price for this unique bbq sauce.

In all seriousness, after perusing the ingredients lists of the various sauces that pop up on SD from this company, I have to say I'm not that impressed. Here are the actual ingredients for their Korean BBQ Sauce from their website:

Soy Sauce (Water, Hydrolyzed Soybean Protein, Salt, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Defatted Soybean, Wheat, Distilled Alcohol, Koji), Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Pear Puree (Pear, Ascorbic Acid), Onion Puree, Water, Garlic, Apple Puree (Apple, Ascorbic Acid), Cooking Rice Wine, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Salt, Seasoning Sauce (Maltodextrin, Hydrolyzed Wheat and Soybean Protein, Sugar, Salt, Corn Syrup, Glucose, Onion, Yeast Extract, Garlic, Green Onion, Spices), Green Onion Extract (Green Onion, Corn Syrup, Salt), Black Pepper Powder, Ginger Extract (Ginger, Maltodextrin, Salt), Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum, Caramel Color, Sesame.

I'm not convinced this company actually cares about quality when the soy sauce they use contains more HFCS than actual soybeans... I'll pass.

I know this is not the healthiest option but I've tried at least a dozen other marinades and this one IMO tastes the closest to what I would get at a Korean BBQ restaurant. I like using it on thin cut tri tip, it's pretty amazing.

This is way too over priced item. You can easily make the same tasty sauce for less than 5 bucks. Just follow the instruction that someone has posted above. Or just visit a korean grocery store. and it should be so much chipper than this price.
