Hire a professional home theater installer.

On a side note, this a strange package. Why would they give you three ear level speakers and two ceiling speakers and call it a 5.1 package? It makes logical sense for someone starting out with home theater to start with five ear level speakers (the bigger ones in the pics), then add the heights.

You can try Bestbuy Total Tech Membership. Some of the installations come free with that. You can take a quote from Bestbuy and decide.

I bought some Sonance ceiling speakers. They're decent but try the premium ones from Monoprice. They sound much better in my opinion and they're cheaper.

On a side note, it seems like Sonance artificially inflates the retail price of their speakers and then posts them for half off or more on a regular basis. I fell for it before, myself.

Many custom living room installs put the rears in the ceiling down firing

I have surround in my Home theater, gym and living room.

-Home theater, 5.1.2 with ear level surrounds.
-gym, sound bar with wireless sub/surrounds
-living room, 5.1 with surrounds in ceiling.

Different rooms have different needs, in my open kitchen/living I cannot put ear level surrounds and my ceiling is like 18ft. My gym, well a Visio sound bar with sub/surrounds is more then enough.

As people have pointed out it's not that strange. The primary advantage and main reason for this setup is aesthetics.

Often you can't or wouldn't put surrounds at ear level(side wall) in the average home.

You are paying a premium price for the name, you could do the same with very little to any quality loss for much less IMO.

The price is the normal price on which this system goes on sale. I hv these installed in my theatre and i love it. Speakers are truly great for there size. Sub is not that good and would need to be replaced but overall a very powerful inwall system.

I have been watching this package for the last couple of months. Seems like it's at this sale price more often than it is at full price…

It's for people with an open concept room where the only place for surrounds are in the ceiling

Every business in US does that including Amazon, Macys, Kohls etc. We buyers always fall for this dirty business tactics. Thanks to Slickdeal forum members, I have become way smarter in my purchases!

You have a theater, gym, and 18' living room ceiling? Need a roommate?

It's a compromise setup, if it's all someone can do, then guess have to go with it.
Human hearing is most sensitive around you at ear level, and less sensitive high or low. Plus this setup negates being able to do ATMOS .

On top of it all, in wall speakers are a 'form over function' design for those who don't want big boxes in their living space. If have acoustically transparent projector screen would be setup that these could work for.

But again, have to work with what have.
